So I've not written in a long time. A bit of being busy, and a bit of being lazy. I've wanted to, but I could never put my words across the way I've always seemed to be able to. I guess something's changed today, because it feels like a dam just opened in my mind.
A few things have changed since I've last blogged. I'm studying the LPC now, nearly done. I'm very sure about what sort of my career I want, a vac scheme at Abu Dhabi helped me know, I've become a hell of a lot more mature, and I guess a whole bunch of stuff.
I'm addicted to Lumosity, and it's probably the best investment I've made outside of education. I'm also very into binaurals, for some reason, I'm not sure if its a placebo or not, but it works for me and that's all that really matters.
A few things that hit me this year.
Abu Qatada's trial and its impact, I ended up writing a piece on it for my Alma Mater speculating that its judgment would leave a very easy option for the UK to merely seek a diplomatic assurance that torture wouldn't be used in the trial.
A few days later, Theresa May did exactly that.
The concept of money, I've realized that its completely artificial and that most people couldn't answer where money comes from. Which is pretty interesting seeing as how much of an effect it has in our lives.
I've also had a brilliant idea that will potentially make law students a lot more aware of what happens in practice, but it needs some expertise that I don't have but I'm on the lookout for. If you happen to know anyone who can write a spider search engine let me know!
Stick around. I'll be back. I don't want to rant about the SRA scrapping the minimum wage yet, I've got revision to do instead and hopes that the large firms that I'll be applying to will maintain competitive rates of pay. If you are interested though, that should fill you in. http://www.lawgazette.co.uk/blogs/blogs/news-blogs/sra-sells-out-aspiring-trainees

So as someone who has self-financed my LPC, if I ever achieve my ambition of getting a TC, I will be paid less than someone with 0 GCSE's, working in a supermarket. Fantastic News.
